This blog is for Kristopher Anderson, Treasurer of the Young Democrats of America. I will also include information relating to the Young Democrats of Illinois and Young Democrats of Cook County.
About Me
- Name: Kris Anderson
- Location: Chicago, Illinois
Thank you for visiting. My life's interest rest in politics and public policy. I begin law school this fall and I ask for your prayers and your support. I want to be a corporate attorney because there is a need for more persons of color in these roles. However, regardless of my job I will always be an advocate. I thank my mother, Sherma E. Sallee-Anderson for making me the man that I am. I also thank my father and my two sisters for their undying love and support. Last, praise the Lord for his mercy and I thank the Lord for you all.

I am a young democrat because I believe in people. I believe that people have the power to do and change whatever they choose to change. I have met some phenominal people as a young democrat and I believe that in someway (minor though it may be) I have made a difference.
I am a Young Democrat because I love politics. The thrill, the high, the excitement, you get when you are in the middle of making the big deal. Also, if you sit back and complain about what is wrong in the world and do not do anything to try make a difference then you are the problem not the solution.
I am not a Young Democrat but being apart of a political organization is a postive start for young, bright, black people. I think that young people should be involved in politics, as Blacks, we need to know how the government work, so it can work in the favor of the black community. The more we know about politics then as a community we will not be mislead. If we understand our past then we can apply it to the furture. As a people, we need to be aware and we need more blacks to be in Captiol Hill making the big decisions. We need to have a stong force so we can make a better, effective change instead of being consider as the status quo.
I concur with much of what others have written!
I would like to say that I first became a Young Democrat because My grandfather made me, but on a more serious note. I believe that as a people we should express our opinion in a positive and effective way. I must say I am a little bias because I am very pro choice am a strong supporter for women power in politics!!!!!!
